These adorable Boston cream cupcakes are super easy to make using cake mix, vanilla pudding, and 2-ingredient chocolate ganache made in the microwave. This dessert is quick and easy and delicious!
Yellow Cake Mix Eggs Water Cooking Oil Chocolate Chips Heavy Whipping Cream Vanilla Pudding Snack Cups Maraschino Cherries
Combine cake mix, eggs, water and cooking oil until well blended. Pour batter into lined cupcake pans. Bake according to directions on the box. Remove cupcakes and allow them to cool.
While cake is baking, melt the chocolate chips in a glass bowl in the microwave, until completely smooth. Add heavy cream to melted chocolate and stir until smooth. Set aside to cool.
Once cupcakes have cooled poke holes in the center of each one using a clean finger or the round end of a utensil. Using a piping bag, squeeze pudding into the poked holes of the cupcakes.
Spoon or pipe chocolate ganache over the top of the cake. Add maraschino cherries on top of cupcakes as desired.
