Candy Cane  Cream Bars

These peppermint cookie bars are perfect  for the holidays! An easy Christmas dessert to make, using a sugar cookie mix with homemade frosting and crushed candy canes.

COOKIE BAR Packet Sugar Cookie Mix Butter | Flour | Egg CREAM FROSTING Butter | Peppermint Extract Red Food Coloring | Milk Crushed Candy Canes


Stir together cookie mix, butter, flour and egg until a dough forms. Press dough evenly into a greased or lined 9x12" baking dish.


Bake for about 8-12 minutes or until firm and no longer wet. Then remove from the oven, let cool completely.

Using an electric mixer, whip together butter, peppermint extract, and food coloring until fluffed. Slowly mix in powdered sugar and then add milk.

Spread frosting onto cooled cookie, and immediately top with crushed candy canes. Carefully cut into rectangles.
