Chicken Tinga Tacos

These chicken tinga tacos make for an extra tasty family dinner. Start with perfectly seasoned shredded chicken steeped in a mildly spicy, smoky sauce then add your family's favorite toppings.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Chicken Thighs  Onion | Garlic Paste Chipotle Sauce Tomatoes Worcestershire Sauce FOR SERVING Tortillas | Cheese Fresh Cilantro  Red Onion | Lime

Add chicken to a skillet with hot oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook each side for 6 minutes then move to a plate. Add onion to skillet and cook for 5 minutes.

DIRECTIONS

Add garlic paste, chipotle sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add chicken to pan and simmer for 20 minutes.

When chicken is cooked, move it to a bowl and allow to cool enough to be handled then shred by hand or with forks. Return chicken to sauce. Warm the tortillas.

Layer each tortilla with chicken then sliced red onions, crumbled cheese, cilantro, and lime wedges  as desired.
