This vintage Jello mold dessert, made in a bundt pan, is so eye catching and yummy too! Made with fresh strawberries, Jello, Cool Whip, and cream cheese (optional) Super easy. Just 5 ingredients!
½cupwhipped cream cheeseoptional or you can replace with 4oz more of Cool Whip
Instructions
In a bowl, dissolve the strawberry jello in the boiling water; stir for 2 minutes. Then add the cold water.
Add sliced strawberry to your jello mold or bundt pan then cover with about 2 cups of the jello mixture. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.Place the bowl with the remaining gelatin in the fridge as well until it it cool and starting to thicken about 20 minutes.
While those are chilling, beat together Cool Whip with the whipped cream cheese. Add remaining gelatin once it's cooled and thicken. Blend well.
Pour cream cheese and Jello mixture on top of chilled and firm layer of jello and strawberries then replace in the fridge and chill for an additional 4 or more hours before serving.
Before serving, invert onto a serving platter.To remove the jello from the mold, submerge mold in warm water for about 20 seconds. Then loosen around the edges with a small rubber spatula or you can use your finger. Next place a plate upside down on the top of the mold then carefully invert. Tap lightly to release as needed.*
Notes
It may help to run the spatula or your finger under warm warm to assist with the release.
