Prepare penne pasta according to instructions. Cook chicken in butter until outsides are a light golden brown. Transfer cooked chicken onto a plate and set aside.
Add garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant. Add cream cheese and chicken broth and stir until cream cheese has melted and combined with the sauce.
Stir in Buffalo sauce then cheddar cheese, allowing it to melt into the sauce. Add cooked chicken and noodles, and gently stir until evenly coated in sauce.
