This German Wurst salad requires no cooking! It's a quick appetizer or lunch with German roots. Made with bologna (or smoked sausage), Swiss cheese, onions and pickles, all tossed in a mustard vinaigrette. Ready in just 10 minutes!
Smith's Gourmet Bologna Swiss Cheese | Dill Pickles White Vinegar | Pickle Juice Onion Powder | Grape Seed Oil Lowensenf Mustard OPTIONAL Parsley or Chives Mayonnaise or Sour Cream
Slice bologna, Swiss cheese and pickles into thin strips and place in a medium sized bowl. Reserve pickle juice for the dressing.
Mix together vinegar, pickle juice, onion powder, mustard and grape seed oil to form the dressing. Add mayo or sour cream if desired.
Pour dressing over bologna, cheese and pickles and gently toss to coat. Let marinate for 10 minutes before serving for best flavor.
Garnish with parsley or chives if desired.
