HOMEMADE SALSA

With Fresh Tomatoes

Homemade salsa just like the Mexican restaurant brings to your table with fresh chips!

INGREDIENTS

Tomatoes Onion Jalapeño Peppers Ghost Pepper Banana Peppers Salt Sugar

Place 3-4 tomatoes in a pot of boiling water. After about 1 minute, remove them with a strainer or tongs and place them in a pitcher of ice water.

After about a minute, remove from ice water.  Remove all the skin and dice. Seed tomatoes if desired.  Place diced tomatoes in a new large pot and turn heat to medium-low. Continue with remainder of tomatoes.

Dice onion and add to the pot of tomatoes. Dice jalapeno and peppers. Leave the seeds if you like more heat. Add diced peppers to pot of tomatoes.

Add salt and sugar and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes depending on how crunchy or soft you want your peppers. Transfer to a quart-sized Mason jar and store in the fridge.
