Made with cinnamon bread, Greek yogurt, toasted walnuts, and sautéed apples drizzled with caramel sauce—all in one pan for easy cleanup. This Caramel Apple Cinnamon French Toast is a fun and easy pin on breakfast, any day of the week.
Peel apple then cut into thin slices. Add to a large skillet with 1 tablespoon butter over medium-low heat. Let cook, stirring occasionally, while you prepare and bake the french toast. Remove from heat when apples become soft.
Lightly toast walnuts in the pan over medium-high heat for about 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
Beat eggs in a flat square pan or a large bowl. Dip each slice of cinnamon bread into eggs and thoroughly coat.
Add coated bread to your skillet greased with butter and set to medium heat. Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until lightly browned.
Stack two or three pieces of french toast to a plate then top with a spoonful of Greek yogurt, sautéed apples, caramel syrup and toasted walnuts.
Notes
Use more butter as needed to keep pan greased or use a nonstick pan.
