This easy Chicken Chow Mein recipe is so simple to make! It will take you just 20 minutes. If you enjoy the flavor of Asian cuisine, you will love this quick and easy dinner dish!
2 ½cupscole slaw mix(shredded cabbage and carrot blend)
4green onionssliced, divided
1tablespoongarlic paste
2teaspoonginger paste
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk to combine oyster sauce, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, chicken broth, cornstarch, sugar, and white pepper. Set aside.
Prepare noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Cut chicken into cubes. Add avocado oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add chicken. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the chicken juice is clear.
Move chicken from skillet to a bowl or plate and set aside.
Add cabbage, carrots, and green onion (white part only), garlic, and ginger to skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
Return cooked chicken and noodles to the skillet and add sauce. Stir for 2 minutes or until the chicken and noodles are reheated and sauce is thickened. Garnish with remaining green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can use low mein noodles, stir fry noodles or even spaghetti will work in place of chow mein noodles.Broccoli slaw can be used in place of cole slaw mix.
