These sliders are delicious and so easy! Inspired by the Barnes and Noble Café. This treat, you can normally only find at select Starbucks, can be easily made at home and makes a great appetizer! Spinach and feta cheese are stuffed into a pretzel slider buns, topped with seasoning and baked to perfection. Oven baked and read in 30 minutes!
⅓cupchopped frozen spinach (defrosted and pressed)
⅓cupcream cheese
⅓cupcrumbled feta cheese
Mustard-Butter Glaze
1tablespoonbuttersoftened
1tablespoonEverything Bagel seasoningmore or less to taste
¼cupgrated or shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Defrost spinach by placing in a colander and running under warm water. Press spinach to completely remove excess liquid.
Open rolls and place in an 8x8 baking pan.
In a microwave safe bowl, add spinach and cream cheese. Microwave for 30 seconds then add feta cheese. Stir to combine. Spoon 1 heaping tablespoon of spinach feta mixture into each roll.
Brush some of the salt off the tops of the rolls and discard. Using your finger, rub a small amount of softened butter on top of each roll (to help the seasoning stick).Add a dash of Everything Bagel seasoning then add a heavy sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top of each roll.
Cover loosely with foil and bake at 350˚ for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes or until tops are crispy and golden brown.
Notes
Everything but the Bagel seasoning contains salt so use it sparingly or these can become too salty.Be sure to thoroughly squeeze out excess liquid from spinach or sliders can become soggy.
