This Brownie Batter Dip is a crowd favorite. Made with brownie mix, cream cheese, and Cool Whip served with cookies, pretzels, strawberries and topped with chocolate chips. This party dip is, of course, kid-friendly but adults love it, too! No cooking required, ready in 15 minutes!
Add dry brownie mix to a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, for 1 ½ - 2 minutes or until hot. Set aside to cool.
Add softened cream cheese and vanilla extract to another larger bowl. Beat using an electric mixer on high for 2 minutes, or until smooth.
Add brownie mix and cocoa powder to the cream cheese. Beat on a low speed to combine, before increasing to a high speed for 1 minute or until thick and fluffy.
Fold in Cool Whip gently with a spatula until just combined.
Spoon dip into a serving bowl and top with chocolate chips or other garnish as desired.
Notes
It’s important to gently fold the whipped topping through this dip to avoid losing the airiness of the whipped topping.
It’s important to microwave the dry brownie mix before using to kill any bacteria or pathogens since this brownie mix will be used raw.
The brownie mix can also be cooked in the oven. Spread over an oven tray and cook for 5 minutes at 350°F.
