Delicious bites of tangy, honey-sweetened, juicy chicken grilled to perfection. This honey BBQ grilled chicken makes for a tasty dinner whether it's a weeknight or you're hosting a backyard barbecue.
Make the sauce. In a large bowl whisk together barbecue sauce, honey, paprika, garlic, pepper, salt, onion powder, and Worcestershire until the mixture is smooth.
Marinade. Place ½ cup of marinade aside then place chicken into the bowl with the remaining marinade. Cover and let chicken marinate in the refrigerator for 1-6 hours. Reserve. Cover the ½ cup of marinade sauce with plastic wrap and set it in the fridge.
Prepare grill. Remove the chicken from the fridge and preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (around 400°F).
Grill. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes on either side or until a meat thermometer inserted into the largest piece reads 165°F.
Add sauce. Brush remaining ½ cup of sauce over each chicken breast right before serving. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
You may need to heat honey in the microwave for about 15 second to soften it and help it dissolve into the sauce and marinade.
Pound chicken with a meat tenderizer to an even thickness to ensure even cooking and tender bites.
