Ingredients

avocados
peeled and seeded

pico de gallo
¼
teaspoon
cumin
¼
teaspoon
garlic salt
more or less to taste

lime
squeezed
Optional
pinch
cayenne pepper
for heat
Instructions
Cut
avocados in half and twist to separate. Spoon out insides into a bowl, discard seed.
Purée
avocado in the bowl, using a fork or a handheld blender,
Fold
in pico de gallo, garlic salt, and cumin. Add extra lime juice if desired.
Serve
with salted tortilla chips, on toast, or on tacos.
Notes
Tip: Cover the avocados with lime as quickly as possible to prevent guacamole from turning brown.
To store: press a piece of plastic up against the top of the guacamole to prevent it from being exposed to air. This will keep it from browning.
Diced jalapeños can also add heat if you want a spicy guacamole.
