★ Ingredients You'll Need ★
Here's a look at what you'll need to make guacamole at home.

- You'll need fresh avocados of course.
- Then you'll fold in pico de gallo. This is a great little hack!
- Pico de gallo is made up of fresh tomatoes, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime. Using pico de gallo is my secret trick to make this recipe super easy. You circumvent chopping onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and peppers. It saves a ton of time!
- If you want more punch, you can add extra lime juice — fresh squeezed is best — but you don't have to since lime is already an ingredient in pico de gallo.
- Add garlic salt and cumin to taste to season your guac just how you like it. If you like spice, you can add in cayenne pepper, too.
★ Tips & FAQs ★
Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and press plastic wrap directly against the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating. This limits air exposure and keeps it fresh-looking longer.
Guacamole stores well in the fridge for up to 4 days if you keep it air tight and sealed off from air. Use plastic wrap, pressed up against the top layer of dip.
Classic add-ins include extra garlic, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño for heat. For extra texture, add corn and/or diced tomatoes.
Yes, but only the mashed avocado base freezes well. Guacamole with tomatoes, onions, or cilantro may become watery after thawing. For best results, freeze plain mashed avocado with lime juice, then stir in fresh ingredients after defrosting.
