Looking for something the kids can do for a week at home? Here's an idea: cooking camp!

Grab your copy of my At-Home Kids Cooking Camp here for just $10.

Perfect for homeschoolers, kids on break from school or to do over the summer.

    ★ Why You'll Love this Camp ★

This is a 5-day at-home cooking camp that features a new recipe every day. Starting with breakfast, lunch, an appetizer, dinner, then dessert!

Kids will take on new challenges each day and get to enjoy the fruits of their labor at the end. This camp is formatted as a 10-page printable document that guides parents and children through each of the 5 days of cooking classes!

Best of all, this camp won't break the bank! It's just $10 and can be used by as many kids as you have gathered.

As a mom, I wanted to compile a few of my recipes together to create this camp as a way for any child to learn new cooking skills which is something all kids will eventually want to learn for life.

This youth camp is geared towards bigger kids ages 8 & up, but can definitely be suitable for younger kids with adult supervision and assistance as needed.

    ★ What You'll Need ★

Most things you will likely already have in your kitchen but there are a few recipe-specific items you'll need.

You'll also need a phone to scan QR codes or access to a computer or tablet.

Here's a look at what you'll need to set up this at-home cooking camp:

    • A kitchen. You'll need the basics. Running water, a sink, an oven, a microwave, and a work surface.
    • Cleaning supplies. Supplies like a sponge or rags, anti-bacterial spray for cleaning surfaces, dish and hand soap are necessary for food safety.
    • Cooking supplies. You will need general cookware like pots and pans, baking sheets, casserole dishes, a cutting board, kitchen knives, serving plates and bowls, and a variety of utensils.
    • Specialty items. Some recipes require special cookware that you may need to purchase or borrow from a friend. Like a Crockpot, ramekins, or a cookie scoop. Check each recipe and gather any special equipment beforehand to be sure the kids are prepared each day.
    • Disposable supplies. You may also need disposable supplies like foil, paper towels, and plastic wrap.
    • Electronic devices. Ideally a smart phone and a printer. The cooking camp is formatted as a digital PDF. This can be viewed on a computer, laptop, tablet, or phone. You will want to print it, if possible, so kids can reference the instructions and recipe pages each day. The recipes pages each feature QR codes that link to learning content and the full recipe on this website. You can use your phone's camera to scan the QR codes.

If you are not able to scan the QR codes, you can go to mightymrs.com and use the search feature to search for each recipe by name.

★ How to Access the Camp ★

This cooking camp is formatted as a printable booklet. It's a 10-page file (PDF), featuring instructions, tips for preparation and food safety, and 5 unique recipes. It's just $10 for the PDF download which you can print or view on a tablet.

★ How to Scan the QR Codes ★

You will need a mobile phone to scan the QR codes featured throughout the booklet.

How to Scan a Printed QR Code

If you're viewing the PDF on a phone instead of printing it or viewing it on a tablet, then you'll need a second phone.

If you don't want to print it, try to view the PDF on a laptop or tablet and use your phone to scan.

You can also search MightyMrs.com for the recipe to pull it up that way.

    ★ FAQs ★

I don't have the software to view PDF. How can I get it?

You will need Acrobat PDF viewer. It's free and most newer phones, tablets and computers already have it installed but if for some reason your device does not have it, you can use the link above to install a free copy of the PDF viewer.

What is the goal of this cooking camp?

This Cooking Camp is a comprehensive cooking program designed for children to learn culinary skills, explore new recipes, and have fun in the kitchen—all from the comfort of their home. It consists of downloadable PDF materials that include recipes, instructions, and reading material for kids.

What age group is this camp suitable for?

The camp is best suited for children who can read or be read to. Younger children may also participate with adult supervision and assistance.

    Is adult supervision required?

While older children may be able to handle some tasks independently, adult supervision is recommended, especially for younger participants. Not only does it ensure safety in the kitchen, but it also provides an opportunity for bonding and shared learning experiences.

    What risks are involved?

Certainly, adult supervision is required for safety when using sharp utensils, extreme heat, electricity, and chemicals. You will need to use your own discretion as a parent or guardian to assess your child's abilities and need for assistance throughout the entire process of this cooking camp.

By participating in this cooking class, you assume all risks and responsibility for ensuring safety of all involved, as each recipe is prepared. See full terms and conditions for this cooking camp and using this website.

Recipes are not guaranteed to come out perfect. But sometimes mess-ups offer learning opportunities. Make the most of it and go slow. Please reach out with any questions or concerns by leaving a comment below.

Do I need any special equipment or ingredients?

Most of the recipes included in the camp utilize basic kitchen equipment and common ingredients that you may already have at home. Occasionally, there may be a need for specific tools or ingredients so be sure to read over the recipe and prepare materials the day before to set your child up for success.

How long does the camp last?

The camp is structured to run for a full week — five days. Each day's activities can vary in duration, but they are designed to be manageable within one day.

You can choose to shop ahead for the week or incorporate a daily shopping trip as part of the camp.

It's recommended that children, as much as possible, are involved in the full process from preparing materials and ingredients to clean up at the end of the dish. This is all part of learning to cook. Have fun with all of the steps!

Can I customize the camp to fit my schedule?

Yes, absolutely! The beauty of this being an at-home cooking camp is its flexibility. You can adjust the schedule to suit your family's needs, whether you want to spread it out over a longer period or condense it into fewer days.

What skills will my child learn during the camp?

The camp covers a range of culinary skills, including planning, basic cooking techniques, kitchen safety, food preparation, presentation, and clean up.

Can siblings or friends participate together?

Definitely! Cooking is more fun when shared with others. Siblings or friends can join forces to tackle recipes, collaborate on projects, and enjoy the delicious results together.

Be mindful that too many cooks in the kitchen can make things more challenging. If several kids are participating, you may need extra adult supervision. You may also want to consider assigning specific tasks to each child. This can help teach teamwork, patience, and management skills.

    Is there a refund policy?

We want you to be satisfied with this camp so if you have any issues, please reach and we will do everything we can to help you resolved any issues. Due to the digital nature of the product, no refunds will be issued.
