Can you freeze buttercream frosting?
Yes. This frosting can be frozen in a freezer-safe container for 4-6 weeks. When you need it, let it thaw in the fridge overnight before re-whipping it to regain its fluffy texture.
Does the frosting need to be refrigerated once piped?
No. So long as your baked good can be stored at room temperature, the frosting can as well for up to 2 days. Just store the desserts in a container or wrapped in plastic wrap so that they stay fresh.
What do I do if I think my frosting is too thick?
Naturally, this marshmallow frosting is easy to work with; however, if you find it’s too thick for what you need it for, add in a small splash of milk and then whip it again. A little goes a long way so start by adding just 1 teaspoon at a time until you reach your desired thickness.
