    ★ Why You’ll Love this Recipe ★

    The Frosting Dilemma

Raise your hand if you’ve ever thought desserts just don’t have enough icing or in this case — frosting. You’re not alone! It’s a universal truth, yet few desserts actually deliver on that craving. That’s why this recipe is different—we’re taking matters into our own hands. This cinnamon apple bundt cake gets slathered with rich cream cheese frosting so you can finally indulge without compromise.

    A Fall Dessert Worth Sharing

This isn’t just any bundt cake. It’s a cozy, fall-inspired treat that belongs on your baking bucket list. From casual weekends to holiday celebrations, this cake shines as a Thanksgiving dessert centerpiece or a comforting autumn bake to enjoy with family and friends.

    Moist, Flavorful, and Better-for-You Ingredients

Not only is this cake indulgent, it’s made with wholesome ingredients that taste amazing. Think hearty oatmeal, whole wheat flour, crisp apples, and crunchy walnuts—all baked into a cake that’s moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet. It’s a feel-good dessert you can enjoy guilt-free.

    Perfect for Any Occasion

This cinnamon apple bundt cake pulls double duty. Serve a slice alongside your morning coffee, make it the star of a brunch spread, or save it for the dessert table at Thanksgiving dinner. No matter the occasion, it’s a crowd-pleaser that fits right in.

    A Treat for Edge Lovers

One of the best parts? The chewy, sugary edges. If you’re the type who always reaches for the edge piece of a brownie, you’ll love this cake’s little caramelized bites. They add just the right texture and sweetness to make each slice even more irresistible.

    ★ Ingredients You'll Need ★

Ingredients for Cinnamon Apple Bundt Cake
    • Apples. I recommend Granny Smith apples for their tart flavor but go with your favorite type.
    • Walnuts. The earthy flavor of walnuts goes really well with this apple cake. You could also use pecans or any nut your heart desires.
    • Flour. I use a half and half blend of all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour. You could use just all-purpose or even 100% whole wheat. Your choice.
    • Oats. You can use old fashioned oats or 1-minute oats for a smoother texture.
    • Baking soda. For the fluffy cakey texture.
    • Salt, sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. All the normal cake staples.
    • Coconut oil. I like the taste of this oil but you can use vegetable, corn or canola oil instead.

    Cream Cheese Frosting

It's easy to whip up this delicious, rich frosting.

    You just need 4 ingredients:

    • Powdered Sugar.
    • Milk. You can use any percentage, half and half, or heavy cream.
    • Honey. You can use sugar instead but honey add just a touch of extra flavor that's really lovely.
    • Cream cheese. I prefer using whipped cream cheese as it blends better (less lumps) but you can use block cream cheese. Cream cheese also blends better at room temperature.

    ★ Tips & FAQs ★

What type of bundt pan do I need?

First tool you'll need: a bundt pan. Maybe you'll have better luck thrifting one than I did. If not, there's always Amazon. I got a Nordic Ware brand because it felt more sturdy than other brands and it's non-stick — key for when it comes time to flip. There are other brands that offer some fun designs though. Shop bundt pans on Amazon.

What else do I need to make this?

    You'll Want an Apple Peeler.
Next thing that's really helpful to have is an apple peeler. I have metal one and it does the job well, check out the selection of apple peelers on Amazon if you're wanting one.
They are actually fun to use. Kids love them. And they remind me of my grandma. My grandma had a wrought iron one in her kitchen and it was a treat to get to use it to peel and slice apples.

How do you get cake out of a bundt pan without breaking?

The secret is using Bakers Joy. This is a product that combine flour and oil. It works miracles for releasing cakes from baking pans. This can be particularly trick using a bundt an because it's so deep and it often has a lot of groves making up a pretty design. You can grab Bakers Joy from the grocery store or order baking spray from Amazon.

    Notes

*To help smoothly release your cake from the pan, it's best to use baking spray to grease your bundt pan. Baking spray is made with oil and flour. If you don't have baking spray, use regular spray oil then lightly sprinkle a coating of flour over that.

The oats get mixed into the batter. You'll add the oats when you add the flour.
