★ Ingredients You'll Need ★
You'll need just 6 total ingredients plus tortilla chips to make this yummy appetizer.
- Spinach. Frozen spinach works. Be sure to thaw and squeeze excess liquid before using. Fresh spinach can work but it's a bit more watery, making the dip thinner.
- Salsa. Any tomato-based, red salsa works. Choose your favorite brand!
- Cream cheese. This give the dip its creamy thickness.
- Sour cream. This add a subtle tang and more creaminess.
- Garlic. You can use garlic powder, paste, or minced garlic.
- Green onions. Use the white and green part of these mild onions.
That's it! Simple list of ingredients. No cooking. Just blend it!

★ Tips & FAQs ★
Can you make this cold spinach dip with fresh spinach instead of frozen?
You can. However, fresh spinach contains more water so your dip will be thinner.
Frozen works best because you can thaw and squeeze away excess liquid. And since this is a cold dip, you can actually just rinse the frozen spinach under lukewarm water to defrost it slightly and then throw it in the blend still semi-frozen. It'll be fine and will chill the dip quicker.
You will need a blender to make this.
This dip needs to get pureed in order to make it creamy and smooth. For that you will need a blender. The ninja blender works best but any blender will do.
