Hosting a Party?
This is the perfect birthday or baby shower punch but also makes a festive holiday punch too — think Easter and Valentine's Day. Go with pink or choose another color sherbet to match your party decor.
My grandma used to make this sherbet punch for our annual holiday Christmas party. It's was something we always looked forward to and to this day I still think of her when I make it!
The Easiest Party Punch
This is my favorite go-to punch because it's just SO EASY. Two ingredients, literally just combine and serve.
Fits any Occasion
Are you planning an event with pink as the main color? This punch would fit right in then.
I like to make it for birthday parties and holidays and have made it for baby showers too.
The pink color makes this a festive and fun non-alcoholic party drink for baby or bridal showers, and gender reveals too. See tips below about changing the color!
Simply Delicious
Party guests always LOVE this punch. Kids go crazy for it and I notice even the adults go back for seconds. I never have a drop left whenever I serve it.
★ Ingredients You'll Need ★
All you need is two ingredients!
This punch is so easy to make. Just mix together raspberry sherbet and plain or raspberry ginger ale.
If you can't find raspberry sherbet by itself, you can use rainbow and just use the pink flavor to give the punch a nice color. Honestly, all the flavors taste great but the color is key.
Also, it's not critical to use raspberry ginger ale. It does add nice color, but you can use regular ginger ale if you can't find raspberry.
Add fresh raspberries as a garnish, if you'd like, but that's totally optional.
★ How to Make this Recipe ★
This pink punch is made in large batches, so it's ideal for serving a crowd.
Here's a look at how to prepare it.
- Allow sherbet to sit out and soften for about 5 minutes.
- Scoop sherbet into a larger punch bowl.
- Slowly pour in ginger ale until it reaches the top.
- Add fresh raspberries or other garnishes as desired.
- Reserve remaining ginger ale in the bottle to refill the punch bowl as needed.
- Ladle punch into drinking glasses to serve.
Easy and always a hit!
★ Tips ★
How to Change the Color of this Punch
Match your party theme colors by changing up the color of the sherbet. You can use any color sherbet and pair it up with a clear or colored beverage that would complement the flavor and/or color of the sherbet.
Experiment and see what you like!
Here are some ideas for varying the color:
Change up the color of sherbet, add Sprite (lemon-lime drink) or Ginger Ale and add garnish to complete the look to match your occasion.
Green for St. Patrick's Day:
Lime sherbet
Birthdays:
Rainbow sherbet + add a rainbow of fresh fruit for garnish
Yellow for Easter:
Lemon sherbet + try adding lemon slices
Blue for Baby Shower or Gender Reveal:
Blue Hawaiian Punch + blueberries
Christmas:
Lime sherbet + fresh cranberries

How do I make this as an adult punch and what would the amount of liquor be that I would add to the sherbet and raspberry ginger ale?
Angela G. says
I would recommend vodka or whipped vodka. You can add as much or as little as you'd like, to taste or desired alcohol content. I would recommend adding 8oz to the entire punch, or 1/2 to 1oz per drink. Hope this helps!
Victoria says
Hi! Will this work with Cranberry Ginger Ale?
Angela G. says
Hi Victoria, Yes Cranberry Ginger Ale will work too! Even plain ginger ale will work. Thanks for asking!

We add a bottle of cold duck! Been making this for 25 years! Cold duck punch!
Amber Brulla says
Ok, going with the whipped cream vodka on the side, as suggested. Thanks so much for the response. Trying this out for my daughter's Winter ONEderland birthday party this weekend.
Angela G. says
Perfect. Enjoy your party!!
Amber says
Would champagne work with this, as an option on the side?
Angela G. says
Sure, you could use champagne. I do think vodka would be a cleaner flavor though and the preferred choice in my opinion if you want to add an adult option due to the creamy nature of this punch
Sarah says
What brand of raspberry sherbet do you use, and what store carries it? I have hinted all over town, and none of my stores have raspberry sherbet. Just raspberry sorbet. Thanks!
Angela G. says
Hi Sarah, the raspberry sherbet can be hard to find. I have found it at Walmart, Wegmans, and Dollar Tree (Believe it or not!). If you can only find sorbet, you can actually stir in few tbsp of half and half or heavy cream. The dairy is what creates the frothy top. You don't need a lot.

What kind of fruit juice would you recommend?
Angela G. says
I really like pineapple juice. Or a pineapple cranberry blend is delicious!
Debbie says
I added floating fresh raspberries This punch was a hit with kids and adults
Angela G. says
Thanks for the feedback, Debbie! Great idea to add fresh raspberries to the punch. I'm going to have to try that next time I make it!
Faith says
How many servings in this recipe?
Angela G. says
I will produce about 8-10 servings of 1 cup each. Thank for you for asking!
Kate says
Hello! I was wondering what else could be used instead of raspberry ginger ale (as this is not available in Australia!). Would it be okay to use normal ginger ale and add some raspberries to the mix? Sounds yummy!
Angela G. says
Hi Kate,
This recipe is really very versatile. I've used just regular ginger ale before and I've also used ginger ale plus different types of juice before. Adding some juice gives it a richer, more opaque color which I like.
Raspberries go well with almost any other kind of fruit so you could try just about any kind of juice plus regular ginger ale or even a lemon-lime soda like Sprite would be good.
