An Easy Party Punch
Great for holidays, baby or bridal showers or birthday parties.
My grandma used to make this sherbet punch for our annual holiday Christmas party. It's was something we always looked forward to and to this day I still think of her when I make it.
It's the perfect punch for a baby shower too! The pink color ties in perfect with a baby girl shower theme.
It's also a fun and easy punch to make for Valentine's Day, a princess birthday party, or for a bridal shower.
Goes well with any pink-themed party decor.
I made this punch for my daughter's first birthday party. I used the colors pink and green to decorate, so the pink punch added to the theme, serving as a fun and pretty treat.
Are you planning an event with pink as the main color? This punch would fit right in then.

★ FAQs ★
How to you make the froth?
The frothy top *magically* appears when you combine the two ingredients.
The bubbles in the ginger ale combine with the sherbet and it add a top layer of yummy and pretty forth without needing to do anything special Pretty cool!
Want a more sophisticated flavor?
You can also add fruit juice or even fresh raspberries if you want but it's not required. Fruit juice adds a more complex flavor but does reduce the froth bit.
I've added a little bit of pineapple juice to this. It was delicious! Lemonade is another great option. You can add other red or pink toned juices too.
You want to just stay in the yellow or red family when adding any optional juices, otherwise the punch may turn an undesirable color.
How does this pink sherbet punch taste?
Both kids and adults typically love the taste. People seem to especially admire how nice the color of the pink sherbet looks. I personally love the frothy top and smooth chunks of sherbet. Fresh raspberries not only look nice as a garnish, you can eat them too.
Could you make this punch blue for a boy baby shower?
Yes! This is a little harder to do because blue sherbet and blue drinks are somewhat difficult to find. However, not impossible! What I'd recommend is going for a white sherbet — either pineapple or lemon would work and then use a blue drink like blue raspberry Hawaiian punch. To get some bubbles, you can use a clear beverage like Sprite or ginger ale.
Could this punch really be made any color?
Pretty much. Don't feel like this has to be pink. You can use any color sherbet and pair it up with a bubbly beverage that would complement the flavor and/or color of the sherbet. Experiment and see what you like! I could see a fun green version for St. Patrick's day for example!
Can you spike this punch for a little extra “punch?" 😉
Be sure to keep out of reach of children of course if you choose to spike this!
Or I like to offer a bottle of vodka next to the punch for people to add their own spirit. Then they know how much alcohol is in their glass too.
I highly recommend whipped cream vodka as a mix in. The creamy tastes goes amazing well with the tangy raspberry flavor!

What brand of raspberry sherbet do you use, and what store carries it? I have hinted all over town, and none of my stores have raspberry sherbet. Just raspberry sorbet. Thanks!
Hi Sarah, the raspberry sherbet can be hard to find. I have found it at Walmart, Wegmans, and Dollar Tree (Believe it or not!). If you can only find sorbet, you can actually stir in few tbsp of half and half or heavy cream. The dairy is what creates the frothy top. You don't need a lot.
What kind of fruit juice would you recommend?
I really like pineapple juice. Or a pineapple cranberry blend is delicious!
I added floating fresh raspberries This punch was a hit with kids and adults
Thanks for the feedback, Debbie! Great idea to add fresh raspberries to the punch. I'm going to have to try that next time I make it!
How many servings in this recipe?
I will produce about 8-10 servings of 1 cup each. Thank for you for asking!
Hello! I was wondering what else could be used instead of raspberry ginger ale (as this is not available in Australia!). Would it be okay to use normal ginger ale and add some raspberries to the mix? Sounds yummy!
Hi Kate,
This recipe is really very versatile. I've used just regular ginger ale before and I've also used ginger ale plus different types of juice before. Adding some juice gives it a richer, more opaque color which I like.
Raspberries go well with almost any other kind of fruit so you could try just about any kind of juice plus regular ginger ale or even a lemon-lime soda like Sprite would be good.
