- Bagels. Plain bagels work well or if you want to get fancy, experiment with different flavors. Choose mini bagels to make appetizer pizza bagels or full sized bagels for lunch or dinner. You can use your favorite brand of bagels. I love using bakery-fresh bagels.
- Roma tomatoes. No need for sauce when you can sub in fresh tomatoes. Just dice and go.
- Basil. Speaking of fresh, big green basil leaves bring massive flavor and aesthetic.
- Mozzarella cheese. Freshly grated or pre-shredded works just fine.
- Cheddar cheese. White or yellow, your choice. This adds additional flavor and color.
- Italian seasoning, garlic salt or garlic powder and salt layer in flavor.

★ Tips and FAQs ★
Tip for Easy Clean Up
Lil' tip: For easy clean up (especially if the kids are making them and are getting a little wild with the cheese!) I recommend using silicone baking sheets. They are great for making cookies too and that's why I actually got them, but I now use them for almost everything since they're much easier to clean than the actual baking sheets.
Make these into an appetizer.
Try this recipe with mini bagels and serve them as an appetizer! Great for a quick and easy crowd-pleasing snack for a football party, tailgate, holiday party, or any gathering.
Try using mini pepperonis for appetizer-sized mini pizza bagels.
