★ Tips & FAQs ★
What sides go well with these BBQ riblets?
Ribs and riblets can be paired with any side dish. Coleslaw is a popular traditional side as well as mac and cheese, corn bread, and baked beans.
I love to serve the riblets over homemade mashed potatoes or if I'm short on time or tired, I grab ready-made mashed potatoes and heat them up while the ribs cook.
Roasted veggies or a side salad completes the meal perfectly.
How do I store leftover ribs?
Let the rib pieces cool fully before storing them in an airtight container in the fridge. They’ll stay fresh for 3 days and can be reheated in the oven at a low temperature.
How can I spice up the riblets?
If you like a kick of heat, you can choose a spicy barbecue sauce or add some cayenne pepper, hot sauce, or red pepper flakes to the coating.
What can I use instead of the Memphis seasoning?
You can make your own seasoning by combining 1 teaspoon each of black pepper, garlic, salt, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Feel free to adjust quantities to suit your preferences if you're going with a homemade spice blend.
Which BBQ sauce is best?
Use any barbeque sauce you love for the recipe. You can also add honey to plain barbeque sauce so that you can adjust the amount of sweetness in the recipe.
Can I make these riblets in the crockpot?
Yes! You can slow cook the riblets in sauce on low for 4 hours or until cooked through.
