Best Way to Store Homemade Sauces
I prefer old fashioned Mason jars for storing sauces. However, I don’t like the metal lids since they rust and therefore aren’t super reusable so I buy special lids that are dishwasher friendly and are easy to put on and take off.
You can buy reusable lids in plastic or glass. The plastic lids aren’t always 100% leak proof but work great if you’re storing things upright. Wek brand jars use a glass lid that seals well. So depending on your use, you may want to check into that brand. You can shop everything on Amazon of course. Here are some links to get you started:
How long can you store homemade BBQ sauce?
It’s safe to store homemade BBQ sauce for about 10 day sin the fridge. You may be able to store it longer than that, just check to make sure there is no mold on the sauce itself of the jar before use. You may also need to shake or stir the sauce before use if ingredients separate.
