★ Tips & FAQs ★
It’s safe to store homemade BBQ sauce for about 10 days in the fridge. You may be able to store it longer than that, just check to make sure there is no mold on the sauce itself of the jar before use. You may also need to shake or stir the sauce before use if ingredients separate.
I prefer old fashioned Mason jars or glass jars with a strong seal for storing sauces.
However, I don’t like the metal lids since they rust and therefore aren’t super reusable so I buy special lids that are dishwasher friendly and are easy to put on and take off.
You can buy reusable lids in plastic or glass. The plastic lids aren’t always 100% leak proof but work great if you’re storing things upright.
Wek brand jars use a glass lid that seals well.
So depending on your use, you may want to check into that brand. You can shop everything on Amazon of course.

Just made this, and oh my,delicious! Question, how long will this last in the fridge??
Angela G. says
I'm so glad you liked it! It should last at least 2 weeks in the fridge. I've had mine last much longer. Just check for any signage of spoilage before use — mold or a funny smell may indicate it has gone bad.
